ALAN SETS UP RUISLIP RECORD

DOUBLE BIRDIE ON THE BACK NINE AND AL MAKES IT LOOK EASY

"Who was that masked man?"
"Why ... That was Al the Ruislip Bandit!"
It was tight for a while. In fact, Dave was sharing the lead with Al for most of the first ten. However, birdies on 11 and 15 with a final-hole par to put the cherry on top and Al ran home easy winner by eight points. His 38 stroke second half established a new course record and set him on course for a chance to wrestle back the Baxter trophy from bruv Geoff who had an unhappy day with the majority of his holes played in over six. Tom scored a couple of nice pars, but still ony just managed to get over the 20 point barrier.
