- A sunny Easter Saturday and Sunbury Golf Course showed that
it is there to be conquered. Some errant slugging was treated
kindly, as the lack of trees made it possible to whack the ball
back on course. However, the par threes continued to prove tricky,
as witnessed by Alan's modest score win in the Dudley Moore.

- Mike's return to putting form put him in the lead, but a
trip into the water on six saw Dave's consistent scoring pay
dividends. Mike tried to pull back, but Dave's handicap saw him
hold off the challenge until the par threes at the turn where
the lead swung back and forth. In the meantime, Alan was once
again clawing his way back from a poor start. A Par three thirteenth
saw a three-way tie and a fight to the death.
- A great par from Al on the difficult 14th was followed by
pars from the other two. This was followed by another Alan par
to give him a shot with two to go. This he surrendered on the
penultimate hole, making it all to play for on the last.

- Dave hit long but wayward , Mike hit high and short ( 100
yds behind Tony's great drive!) Both players recovered well for
their bogie, but Al's fourth par on the last six holes sewed
it up.
