TONY ROMPS HOME ON THE SECOND NINE Tony show that he is no stooge, as he crushes the opposition over the closing holes.
It was a day that saw the Baxter boys battling for form. After four holes, only Geoff could get within two shots of his handicap. Mike, Dave and Tony were way out of it with Gavin and Tom a shot behnd Geoff. The par-three fifth saw Mike continue his miserable run of form which he displayed for the rest of the game. The others seemed to steady and Dave even managed par. At the half-way mark, Dave had managed to get within four shots of handicap, but he was the best of the bunch. He extended his lead with another par on ten, but then Tony started to show some form. Three pars and nineteen points over the last eight holes made him the only one to beat thirty points!
