TONY TAKES IT ON THE LAST

Last hole stumbles give Tony the November medal and a matchplay draw.
gavin took the early lead, but Dave and Alan, always contenders, were breathing down his neck. The long 4th & 6th holes proved a turning point as Dave and Tony were the only ones to come out unscathed. They then proceded to par 7th and set up a tustle to the end. Alan was letting it slip away, as Gavin remained firm and took the lead by one on twelve. It was to and from to the end and Alan made a charge with four second-half pars. Dave's six on the last par-three followed by a seven put him off the lead and his eleven on the last left him nowhere after being in the top two for fifteen holes. Gavin's par on sixteen and Alan's on seventeen meant that Gavin had a two-stroke lead going into the last. It was Tony who did least bad and his six gave him the medal by one shot.
