AL CONTINUED HIS WINNING WAYS AS HE DOMINATED CON IN THE MATCHPLAY whilst the Baxter Boys struggled to hold their form in the windy conditions. Alan's nine points over the first four holes were good enough to set up a four hole lead over Con who struggled all morning. Six points over the next five holes managed to let Con come to within one hole of the match, but once again his gritty second half performance, featuring three pars enabled him to take the match three and two. The other match looked to be closer at all square after three, when Tony took a seven hole lead over the next eight. Twenty points over the first half looked to be contributing to a P.B. for Tony, but his game suffered over the next half as he earned a disappointing 32 and a net total of 72 good enough to win him his third Medal in a row. Dave had one of his worst score of 2002, yet he managed a superb five par total to set up a good base for defending his Low Score Trophy.
