- It was a classic Medal tournament on Saturday. Four holes
from the end and only two strokes separated four players gunning
for the outright win. As it turned out, it was Tony who proved
to be the most steady. Never more than a shot from the front
and leading for 15 of the holes, he netted par, par, birdie par
to close it with his second win in a row.
- Geoff had another up and down day goin into double figures
twice, but holing a 25 footer for his fourth birdie of the year.
Mike struggled with his putting and chipping, but was driving
well and always in the hunt. An eight on six put him into fourth,
but three pars over the next four holes gave him a share of the
lead by ten. A slip by Tony on thirteen gave him another share
of the lead on thirteen, but a double shot out of the bunker
on sixteen and a three put on the last nulified his par on seventeen
and left him in third.
- From two to ten, Dave was always in contention and shared
the lead for five holes. Good pars on eight and ten looked to
set him up for a charge, unfortunately four double bogies and
a triple saw him fade to fourth.

- Sixteen shots over two and three put Alan six shots adrift,
early on. However, a par on four signalled another tremendous
charge, three more pars and seven bogies brought him within one
shot of the winner by the end of the match.His second half score
of 40 ensured a corking total in the Winter Stableford, five
points clear of Dave.
