- Steve's wild lifestyle Does not appear to be hindering
his golf!
- A Fort Baxter truancy record was set on Friday, when
five of the Baxter boys managed to turn up for a Friday afternoon
game at Sunbury. With fishing trips and other jaunts scheduled,
it appeared that not one member endured work on this dazzling
afternoon.
- Mike continued his astonishing run of good form with
five pars on the first six holes. However, things strted to get
shaky, as he four-putted from 12 foot on hole seven. The halfway
score of 21 points off an eighteen handicap put him a good six
points clear.
- The second half was a different story, as all the
old faults started to re-appear. As ever, it was consistency
that won the day. Al's back-to-back birdies on 15 & 16 managed
to put him ahead of Mike by one point, but Steve's steady run
on the back nine made him the winner in a close fought contest.
- 1st Steve 34, 2nd Alan 33, 3rd Mike 32, 4th Tony
31, 4th Dave 30.

crept back to challenge Mike's good form, but a birdie on the
first cut his low-score by two.
