ALAN TAKES IT ON COUNT-BACK
Neck & neck struggle as Dave and Alan slug it out for May medal
The Baxter Boys' Salute to Summer

With a sudden change in the weather, Fort Baxter quickly went into Monthly Medal mode. It was the return of the Bruvs, as Geoff went for back-to-back victories and Al ended his Winter hibernation.

With Con and Mike blobbing out on the first and the Bruvs making the running, there was a four shot gap from first to last after the opening hole. Tony made the only par on hole two to shoot into second place behind Al, who the chalked up another par to be three ahead of the field.

The tricky fourth saw Dave get a sly par to edge up alongside the leader where he staid until dropping back one on six and another on seven. A par on eight narrowed the gap to one.

On the last hole, Al dropped another to leave it net 37 each. On countback it was another victory for the Bruvs in a high scring contest. Geoff managed third with net 40, Tony made it 41 and Mike and Con shared the loser's medal.
