Hole one - miles right in
rough. Hole three - again in rough right. Hole four - spectacularly
sliced right resulting in drop. Hole six - right again into the
bushes. Hole seven - right - just off fairway. Hole eight - right
and short. Hole nine - low and short. Only two par threes saw
a reasonable drive. The score? 10 points? 12 points? A 14 pointer
with a bit of luck? No siree! This is the Conmeister we are talking
about. Even with such indifferent form off the tee, the Maestro
managed a spectaular twenty one points and a record equalling
40 strokes! The main-man may be struggling with a new nine-hole
handicap of 7.8, but there is no denying that he is currently
in a class of his own in Fort Baxter and that when he gets all
aspects of his game togethr, he should be going well below the
magic 40 barrier.

Running Stableford Scores
Dave goes into the last week with a
two point lead, although Steve only needs to beat 14 points (49)
to take it by one. Dave needs to beat 15 (45) to improve. Con
could do it with 17 points from his 8 handicap (43), will he
cancel St. Andrews in a bid for glory?........
