Al slaughters Mike in Matchplay, whilst Dave holds on against second half comeback by Tom.
- Al leaves disappointed, after completely misunderstanding the meaning of "Muffin The Mule"
Three birdies by the Baxters. Alan piles on the pressure with a ten stroke flurry over the last three on the first half. Tom covers the first five on the second half in even par. Russ finiishes off the round with a great two. Geoff beats Tony and Con sits it out, looking good for the matchplay, with the two leaders going down.
Another good day for Alan, with a nice 85 stroker to go with 86 and 83 from the previous two weeks. With five weks to go, it's not impossible for him to catch Tom, who is still in cracking form.
