DAVE "THE SNAKE" DEVOURS THE OPPOSITION
Seven pars put Dave firmly on top of the charts, as he hits a personal best score.
"Girls, I guess you're wondering why they call me the snake!" Dave shows off his Cobra.

With his deadly Cobra, fired up and ready to strike, Dave set out on one of the most one-sided displays this year. Seven pars and eight bogies saw him hit a superb 84, as the rest of the gang struggled to get near the 100 mark. Only a triple-bogie last hole prevented him from attacking Al's course record. The rest of the field had no chance of putting together any sort of score, as they staggered to monstrous totals for the first half. However, there were some outstanding recoveries. Geoff improved nine strokes on the way back, with Russell going 12 better on his second half. Tony was even more impressive, as he hit three pars on the way home, netting him a 13 stroke improvement. Perhaps the biggest turnaround ever was displayed by Tom, who could only manage six points and a miserable 63 for his first nine. Suddenly, he managed to steady the ship and hit a sub 50 second half and an extra 15 points. A triumph for Baxter tenacity!

Geoff had been the early leader, but could not cope with Dave's onslaught. However, he managed to stay in second place until the fifteenth hole. Unfortunately, a mere two points over the last three holes let Tony Russ and Gavin through, with Russell's superb four point par on the last taking the runner-up spot.
