TONY TAKES THE HEPBURN

The railway tracks appear to offer no threat!
After a mad rush from course to course, the Baxter boys ended up on their old stomping ground Perivale, where they prepared to play the Hepburn Trophy. Gavin and Dave proved to be such fans of the great Kate that they first decided to replay the famous golf club car park scene from "Bringing up Baby" before settling down to some golf proper. With thier minds still buzzing and with thoughts of carrying on to the Natural History Museum to replay the famous collapse of the Brontosaurus, they were a bit errant over the first few holes letting Tony steal the march with a good early lead.
Geoff caught him on the sixth and then it was all square until the turn.
With Gavin and Geoff parring the tenth, there was a new leader. Geoff had it by three with Mike coming into contention in a three-way tie for second. Tony fought back with par on eleven and by twelve was tied with Mike for second Geoff was feeling the pressure now, but forged one ahead of Tony with a nice par on fourteen. As Mike floundered, Gavin moved up. A coouple of eights from Geoff and it was Gavin v Tony.
Finally a great par from Tony sealed the win. Three weeks to go, six point spresd for the top three, the Barry White, the Monthly Medal, a great Saturday awaits.
