- Straight from the airport for a 7.45 am tee-off and
Con was showing the Baxter boys what they had been missing.
No-one showed much early form, as guest player Reg dominated
the early holes, featuring a superb birdie on two. Alan was looking
good, covering the first eight in one over handicap, with Geoff
and Tony snapping at his heels. However, he started to wobble,
dropping four shots over the next four holes before self-combusting
with a nine-over-par on the the unlucky thirteenth. This is where
Con's killer-instinct took over, as he unleashed three pars and
a bogie to go into a lead after confirming his six-and-five victory
over Dave.
- Tony held some good form to finish within one shot, but Con's
second half fourty was good enough for victory.
- A solid round for Reg, who scored the best round of the day
and a strange round for Mike who scored a grotesque 115, yet
managed to pot four pars and consolidate his position on top
of the low-score chart.
