The Crosby Cup was played over two days on the nine-hole course. This proved to be a very different test of golf, with the thick rough playing a crucial role. Alan looked to be in for a good tournament, with sixteen shots and eleven points on the first four holes. He then discovered how punishing the rough could be. twenty one points on two holes, almost broke his spirit, but after seven on the next, he came back with a good par. Mike's spirit was well and truely broken. Over the nine holes, he scored three nines and a fourteen! the worst hole of the tour was Mike's sixth. Fourteen shots, four lost balls and a lost club. Fortunately, a searcg party was able to find the club! Geoff and Dave were the class act, battling it out neck and neck to the ninth. Geoff's par looked good, but Dave almost drove the green and putted well to get a birdie and a halfway lead.

The next day, Dave stamped his authority on the firts, as Geoff blobbed. Mike looked better, but was having some bad luck with rough and bunkers. However he salvaged a bit of glory with back to back pars and the second best Stableford of the nine. Double par five's for the Bruvs looked good, but noone could touch Dave who wound up his win with a superb repeat birdie.
