The August Medal

Arrangements for teeing-off:

* Monthly medal: First medal of the season - order of handicap. Then order of total of points in Stableford.

* Last two weeks of season : Order of total points in Stableford.

* Other weeks: If nine players then the order is Russell-Tom-Gavin / Tony-Con-Mike / Alan-Geoff-Dave. Guests can play, but if there is more than one guest in a group then a player moves along a group.

* Less than nine players: order of handicap but players from one group take turns in swapping with player from the other group. High handicap group out first.

* Guest: Players must check that there are fewer than eight players, then it's "first come-first served" The guest takes the place of the missing player

* Date of the next monthly medal: To be decided in the bar, after each medal has been played. Efforts will be made to accomodate as many players as possible.

* In the event of there being an odd number of players and an even number of groups, the largest group goes out last.

* Players commit themselves to a game on the previous Saturday. Any changes to be communicated to Mike before Friday, when he will try to post the tee-offs on the internet.

* If there is a player missing from the last group, then an extra player comes into that group.

* In the event of there being an odd number of players, the last group out will be the biggest.

* The starting order will be announced on the "next week" page, along with details of the competition.
