Yup! Dave sure struck it rich with a double gusher to commemorate the death of ole Uncle Jed on Saturday. First, an audit of the scores revealed a deficit in his Stableford score, then he fired five pars over the first eleven holes to put himsef well in contention for the acclaimed Fort Baxter Stableford Trophy.
Alan had a miserable first half, but then sparked into life with two pars and back-to-back birdies over the next six! This has been the story of his Summer season, flashes of brilliance coupled with jaw-dropping ineptitude. A bit more consistancy and no one will sniff him over the Autumn.
Mike lead the chasinmg pack, in spite of a five-put on two. However, as Al hit birdies, Mike double blobbed and fell away. It was left to Tony to beat the best of a bad bunch with a 28.
