Another great win for the consistent young Thomas, but dad Steve must be musing on what might have been after he once again streaked into the lead like a seasoned greyhound with a Yonex three wood in his paws!

Net par, birdie, birdie,par left Steve with a two stroke lead after the first four holes; Geoff, Tom and Dave tied for second. A disastrous six on the par three fifth left him level with Tom and Dave, whilst Geoff's net birdie gave him a one shot lead.

As usual, the mighty sixth saw its fair share of tragedy and only Geoff and Tom could net bogies. Steve had fallen two strokes off the lead, whilst Dave moved alongside him.

On the seventh, Tom netted a birdie and found himself two in the lead as others fell by the wayside. Geoff made a small move on the eighth and there were two shots between the top four, with a hole to go.

Tom notched up a deserbing win with the only six, converting to net birdie. Geoff was runner-up, but poor old dad was dispatched to the knackers yard. Two shots clear after four, he finished six behind the winner and trudged wearily into the cafe for some of Brenda's tenth-tee comfort.
