A DELICIOUS CREATION TO CELEBRATE ANOTHER BLOODBATH
Dave and Gavin discovered life at the bottom of a big slump in form, giving Alan and Con easy wins in their matches. With man-in-form, Geoff away, the story was Con's solid seven-par display followed by Mike's double birdie and superb putting to recover from a double-blob start.
Once again, Con set off in blistering form, making six pars in eleven holes to go net three under. He dropped one point with two to go and then made a magnificent chip to birdie and go four under with a hole to go. An O.B. on the last penned him back, but his 38 pointer dropped his handicap down to 14 and put him on top of the Low Score contest.
Mike opened with two blobs and was struggling somewhat, but stayed in the game with some great putts. Come the seventh, he hit two birdies and two pars in a six hole stretch, which pulled his Low Score down by five, putting him in second place. With six weeks to go and key players missing rounds, the season is coming to an exciting conclusion.
