Her use-by date was nearly up and Geoff was getting hungry
This report from Geoff:
Gavin and Geoff went off in a high speed 2 ball and with no hold ups finished by 10.30am. Gavin had a diificult start allowing Geoff to lead the match by 3 after 3 holes. Gavin made a strong comeback as Geoff could only find bunkers (8 in the front nine - this must be a new record) . Gavin had levelled the match by the turn. The match was very close over the back nine with only one hole ever the diffrence. They went to last hole with the match even. Geoff found the pond with his tee shot - match over!  
As a consolation Geoff won the Easter Bunny Comp for the second year running - alas there was no Trophy as Geoff had eaten it last year claiming the Use By Date was up. 
In the other match Dave had a convincing win over Tony who mumbled in the Club House afterwards about finding another sport.
As a follow up to the Gene Pitney Trophy, I reported the funeral was to be delayed by three weeks in order th make a cofin in solid oak until the Funeral Director found another supplier who could make it in "24 hours from balsa". The Fort Baxter members were not amused.
