YOUNG TOM HIT A CORKER!
The uxbridge crowd were stunned by the youngster's play
It was Tony and then Alan over the first few holes. Mike had a solitary point after two, but birdie on three put him back in contention. After five, there was a four-way tie between Mike, Geoff, Tom and Tony. However, Alan and Russ were just a point adrift, with Dave struggling. Tony went ahead on the hardest hole and held the front until fifteen, when Tom pulled alongside and challenged in their match. A better finish for Tom put him ahead in their match for the first time and he won the overall competition with 31 points, Tony in second on 28 a couple of holes down in their match. Mike's first half was good enough to put him up against Geoff, and a nice par on twelve saw him challenge for the lead, but after winning the match he collapsed big time. Alan went dormy one against Russell, but crushed him on the last with a brilliant 30 footer. In the meantime, Dave scored three pars on the back nine, to save face after an eight point opening.
