ROYAL & ANCIENT QUESTIONS TOM'S EQUIPMENT
Tom rides off with the St George's Shield with a net 66, his 39 points (with 3 blobs) 
In the Match, Gavin twice pulled back to one down and his win on hole 16 gave him a last chance to draw but Tom won 3 and 1
The other Match was close with Alan never ahead on the front nine and Tony only ever one up . At the turn, Alan piled on the pressure to go three up by 13 when Tony started his comeback and managed to draw level by 17. At 18, Tony's tee shot found the water and Alan was well short of the green - maybe there was still a chance for Tony to draw until Alan chipped in from 30 yards! 
Tony had six shots from Alan but only one was was used plus a blob and four unused shots as he won the holes 2,6,14 and 16 outright. The outcome could well have been different had the proposed and controversial "carry forward" rule been in operation. A draw I think. - Geoff
