THE COMMITTE WAS GETTING JUMPY!
Alan was the only one not concerned about Tom's form.
It was the father & son pairing of Gavin and Tom that stole the limelight this week. Gavin took the early lead, as Tom took time to settle. However, after the fourth, Tom had a stunning five hole stretch covered in par, which gave him a two hole lead at the turn. Gavin battled gamely, to tie it with three to go, but Tom ran away at the end with a cool 36 points and victory by a hole.
Dave and Mike had a thrilling contest. Neither could achieve any kind of form and they each wound up with poor totals. However, the game could not have been tighter. Dave took the first two, Mike evened it by four and then level all the way to the tenth, where Dave buttered his drive. A nice par from Mike at eleven gave him a two shotter, which Dave tried to attack. Eventually, it was Mike by two. A good round by Geoff gave him third in the Stableford bash with 32 points.
