TONY WINS ONE FOR THE GIPPER
Tony chalks up big score to edge Alan who hits a record ten pars. Mike, Con and Dave blow matchplay
Reagan contemplates Tony's offer of a regular Sunday morning run along Dollis Valley

Starting off with a par, Tony saw his match with Dave as a foregone conclusion. With six holes to go that proved to be the case. What was really on his mind was the coveted Gipper Cup. With pars on two and three, Alan looked to have the same aim in mind, but a double on five and a nine on six looked to scupper his chances. In true Alan style, he came back with double pars and looked to be making a fine recovery until a ten on ten.

Tony was notching up some solid scores in his demolition of Dave, but then Alan hit another six pars over the next eight holes, making it a record ten in all. Con was having a poor game and couldn't compete, going down five and four.

The more interesting game was between Mike and Geoff. Neither player seemed to want to win, both making ridiculous mistakes. The most telling was Geoff's four putt from six foot on three. Mike missed a couple of easy ones over the last stretch to finally go down two and one.
