- Samantha's nose was twiching like mad on Saturday
Geoff always rises to the occasion for the Monthly Medal and on Saturday it was no exception. As others struggled on the start, only Tony put up any resistance. Unfortunately, Tony fell away and frittered his lead over Mike in the matchplay and it looked like Mike was heading up for the runner up spot.
With Con having crushed an injured Tom, he made a charge for second place and Mike fell away. Tony played steady golf to the end and it was honours shared, as they leveled out at net 73 for second.
Alan fought back in his match with Geoff, but could not overcome the deficit. Russel made a showing over the first half and was equal second at the turn, but a bad spell back spelled disaster.
