It looked like Con was going to dominate the competition, as he went into an early lead, spurred on by the heat of battle in his bid to take points off Alan in their matchplay. However, a birdie on three set Dave up to take the lead which he held to the end. Tom could do nothing about the Loader Blitzkreig and wilted under the pressure finishing five down with four to go. Con looked good in his match, but he wilted as Alan scored back-to-back pars on the turn to take the lead and win. Mike set an all-time high start with 15 over par for the first three holes, yet he managed to fight back in his match with Gavin to make three and three end up all square.
