A superb course for the Colonel Hall Championship and, as expected, the most eagerly fought. Having recovered from his nightmare performances, Mike showed some early form and battled for the lead with Dave. Alan started to put on the pressure and recovered the lead at the turn. However, he was only a shot ahead of Mike at the turn.

A disastrous tee shot left Mike struggling on the second half, but he managed to retain second spot until the twelfth, when Geoff and Dave nudged alongside him, four points adrift of Alan.

Dave and Mike hit big blobs to fall out of contention and Geoff's par on fourteen kept him four behind Alan. A good score on the hardest hole by Geoff and a miracle put by Mike left them three down with three to play.

With nerves of steel, Alan held his composure whilst the others faded away. Another worthy Colonel Hall trophy in the bag.

Another one in the bag!
