BACK-TO-BACK VICTORIES FOR TONY

Three Monthly Medals out of four as Tony dominates.

 

Tony tees up high

Steve, once again steams into the lead with net eagle - par - birdie. Mike holds on for two holes but disasters on the third and fourth put him out of contention. Slow starters Con and Alan hold on to Tony's shirt tails for joint second place after three holes However, Steve is three clear after three and looking good.

One hole later and Con and Tony move one shot closer. On the fifth, Tony edges to within one shot of the lead, whilst Con slips back to three behind with Alan. The big sixth sees its usual share of drama as Tony shares the lead with Steve and Alan moves to within two. Mike makes an appearance in fourth place, as Con's eight moves him out of the reckoning.

Three holes to play and the leaders stay neck and neck as they battle it out to the last tee. The big ninth awaits as Steve and Tony are four shots clear of Alan. Mike and Con are one shot further back with the rest nowhere. Con shoots seven, but he only receives one shot handicap. Tony wins it with seven, net five.. Mike and Steve struggle with eights. Alan knew that something special wold be required, if he was to make an impact. Something special was produced a superb Baxter Boys record fourteen!
