Four players within one shot of each other, but on handicap it was Tony by a Mile!

Steve set the pace with a net two, but Con's three put him in second. Hole two and Steve holds his lead, but Mike and Dave move alongside Con. It was the easy third that proved problematic this week, but Dave and Alan took their chance to move alongside Steve in the lead.

Some huge scores on the fourth, as Steve fell away. Dave leads by one from Alan, with Con in third. The position remained the same after five, although Tony had quietly moved into shared second place.

The usual mayhem on the sixth and Steve moves back to share the lead with Dave. Alan and Tony are one behind, Tom and Con a further one back.

After seven, Tony shared the lead with Steve. Dave was in with a chance one shot back and Geoff moved alongside Tom- two off the lead. After eight it ws still Steve and Tony with Dave one behind. The course went still, only the faraway sound of Geoff's Nine-Holer sizzling on he grill to break the tension.

In the end, an eight from Dave and a nine from Steve meant that Tony's six gave him a clear victory with net 33 (one under par) Geoff' seven meant that he shared second place three shots behind.
