Eighteen points takes it, as the field falls
away. |
- On a perfect Summer's day. the lads got off to a cracking
start, with some of the best first-hole drives, witnessed by
the Fort Baxter crowds. Alan stormed into the lead with a great
birdie, underpinning his recent return to form.
- However, by the fourth hole, it was the same old story, as
style went out the window and the guys started to hack their
way from one disaster to another. Only Dave, managed to keep
with the Boy-wonder, by chalking up a couple of three pointers
at the death.
- As the Summer moves into its final weeks, Dave slips into
the lead in the Stableford comp, as Steve flounders and Alan
moves into third.
- It looks like the sixth is going to decide the low score
comp, as no-one has yet parred it. With a cvouple of birdies
on the board and a two point lead, Dave is looking good for a
double. Or could it be a treble? Next week sees the play-off
for the Spring Match Play. Dave v Mie at 7.37. Book your tickets
