AL FOUND THE FEATHERS A BIT TICKLISH AT FIRST
Yet another close game, with five players liniing up for the last just one point apart. Tony and Mike opened up their accounts with pars on the first, but then Alan hit a great birdie on the next to take the lead. Mike briefly took over, until Dave captured a much-needed par on the fifth, holding the lead until twelve. A fantastic 150 yarder to within a foot on seven, almost gave Dave a par after starting three off the tee. His superb five paved the way for a chip-in on the par five to bring his low score down three shots. With another par on the ninth, Dave was four up on Mike and Alan. However, he started to fade with three doubles and a triple. A par for Alan on thirteen put him ahead, but it was Geoff's turn to shine. Six points off the lead. As Al started to drop shots, Geoff picked them up. With one to go, they were tied on 32 points, alongside Dave. Mike and Russ were a shot behind. On the last, Dave blobbed and Mike just picked up the one point. It was a tie for the Bruvs with Al winning on countback. Consolation for Geoff came iin the shape of a seventeen shot blobless run, whilst Mike goes into next Saturday with a run of 30.
Next week: If we all turn up, we need to sneak in an extra game, so get there early.
