| Mike had to Go elsewhere, Tony and Con did not
show. Dave and Steve had just returned from their exhausting
business trip and their two week rest from playing golf. Alan started with a par, Dave and Geoff pulled one back on the second for an early three way tie for the lead. Alan pulled two clear after the third and never looked back. After a shaky start, Tom birdied the Fifth and was now only two shots behind Dave and Geoff whose scores matched hole for hole until the Seventh. Steve had already scored two nines before reaching the Sixth where he clocked up twelve - the Canne trip had clearly taken its toll. Steve made a big comeback on the Seventh with a drive of 249 yards and Dave piled on the pressure in his bid to catch Alan. A par on the Ninth meant a convincing win for Alan. |
