BIRDIES FOR DAVE
- Comes the time, comes the
man. The time - the first round at Perivale this century. The
man - STEVE! As the rest of
- the Baxter boys struggled
to find form, Steve zapped them with an astonishng 22 pointer
to win the monthly medal and to lead in all competitions bar
one. The one lead that eluded him was in this year's birdie table,
where Dave chalcked up back-to-back tweeties with 2 on the second
and three on the third.

WINTER STABLEFORD 22 JANUARY
CON TAKES A POWDER AS HALF THE CLUB WHOOP IT UP IN CANNES
With Dave, Steve and Tony swanning of to the annual orgy of S and D and R&R
in Cannes,it was a chance for the rest to slip the leash and gain a lead in the Winter Stableford.
Unfortunately they all struggled, but none more than the Maestro himself. You would have to go
back to mid April to see him top fifty, a feat that he only managed four times in 99 when his worst
score was 51. Time and time again he fluffed shots, missed puts and lost his cool as he staggered
to a sorry 54.
